You should make a video describing how you got into cars and progressed up to the level of expertise you’re currently at. For example when you started working on cars, your biggest challenges building cars, and more!!

NEVER EVER EVER use cir-clips in a street driven engine for the wrist-pin.....OLD lore going back to quick engine builds. Cir-clips can only fail one way (and they do...trashed block...)....cir-clips (or E-rings...) were designed for quick piston changes.....don't do it, ZERO performance enhancement...get the wrist-pins pressed in with no worries

I am not sure how to say it...: NO ANTI SEIZE ON ANY PULLEY! Clean and dry as possible. That is what TOYOTA writes in the manual. And I believe them since they build the engine and point that explicit out to install the pulleys clean and dry. And I know people that call them self Big Boost who had to learn that on their BMW the hard way... Yes BMW says: Clean and dry too.

I think the era of popping your hood and being able to see your raw engine is over, now every manufacturer covers it in plastic 🤮

We engineers always design something with function in mind. We don't care about aesthetics. Its all about being detailed and using science. Research and development never stops, those plastic covers help stop energy transfer to the outside environment. You can think of the enclosed engine with plastic as a system, outside the system temperature is much different than inside the system. Laws of thermodynamics takes over and energy transfer occurs (heat). This tendency to transfer energy is to reach thermal equilibrium. The plastic acts like a sponge and energy transfer is slowed down(heat).
